Daani daan bhandara toon eyn toon eyn ik gareebnivaz; Kar bakhshish te bhar de jholi khol de apne saare raz. Sare jag da vali toon eyn gur gobind gopal hain toon; Jag da palanhaar hai tuhiyon roop jawani maal hain toon. Sabh ton avval hasti teri khaalak toon kartar toonhi; Bhagat janan de raas te poonji roohan da aadhar toonhi. Satgur poora hai jag-karta vaham dilan de door kare; Baksh ke apne naam di joti dil vich mere noor kare. Hochha moorakh saar na jana bhulla raste pa devo; La ke apne gyan di teeli man di jot jaga devo. Gun te sifat nahin kujh palle neechon neech anjan han main; Mehar teri de saye hethan aa pahuncha bhagwan han main. Hatth jorh ke benti meri lakh lakh vari ey parnam; Avtar kahe sun jag de sayeen jholi pa de apna naam. |

You are the great donor, the treasure-house of charities, and the sole benefactor of the
poor; Be kind and fill my empty bowl, and unveil all your secrets. You are the Supreme Lord of the Universe, you are the True Master and the Almighty God; You are the sustainer of the whole world and you are the beauty, youth and the wealth. Your entity is supreme, you are the creator and sustainer of all; You are the capital, the asset of the devotees and the support to the souls. Perfect True Master is the supreme architect of the world, and he removes doubts from the hearts; He bestows the light of his Divine Name and illumines my heart. I am an uncultured and imprudent person, I am unaware of the Truth, I have lost my way, show the path to me; Strike the match of your divine knowledge and kindle the lamp of my mind. I possess no distinctive attribute or quality, I am the lowliest of the lowly and ignorant; O' Lord Master, I have come under the shade of your divine grace. With folded hands I pray to you and I pay obeisance to you a million times; Avtar says, listen, O' Lord Master of the World, fill my empty bowl with your Divine Name. |
Meaning
You are the most superior giver of all treasures. You are the savior of the poor. Bless me with your divine grace and enlightenment. You are the caretaker of the entire universe; you are the prophet of the time. You are preserver of the word; the epitome of beauty, youth and wealth. You are the foremost in existence, the master and the doer. For true devotees, you are the most important asset; the savior of the soul. The True Master of the world dispels all superstition. Bless me with the Divine Knowledge and enlighten my mind. Light my Divine Knowledge with realization and prevent me from going astray. I am downtrodden and ignorant, devoid of any good qualities. With your blessing, I have arrived at the shadow of your grace. I join my hands and bow to you, pleading a million times. Avtar says, Oh lord bless me with your Divine Knowledge.
